David C. Schonberg, Owner & Managing Member (Read Full Bio)
Following his extensive pursuit of the gold standard in senior care, South Louisiana native David Schonberg and a team of local investors, architects and contractors broke ground on The Suites at Sugar Mill Point in Houma, Louisiana in January 2001. His background in healthcare and Assisted Living administration, combined with years of research and planning, have yielded the finest level of senior care available in each of the communities served by Schonberg properties. His trademark “neighborhood” concept for varying levels of care represents the highest standards of care and future growth in the industry. Stuart Coleman, Operations Manager, Schonberg & Associates
Stuart Grant Coleman joined the Schonberg & Associates team as an associate to assist the owner with the management and finance function of the company and each of its seven operating Assisted Living and Memory Care communities throughout the southeast. Stuart, who received two simultaneous degrees from Loyola University New Orleans—a Juris Doctor from College of Law and a Masters of Business Administration from the College of Business—brings a varied and impressive array of expertise to the company.

Having earned the highest grade in Income Taxation as part of his studies toward a Certificate of Taxation from the College of Law at Loyola, Stuart has expertise in both the financial and the legal aspects of management.

Prior to joining Schonberg & Associates, he held positions with such prestigious institutions as the New Orleans City Council, Merrill Lynch, King, LeBlanc and Bland PLLC and Ungar & Byrne APLC—all located in New Orleans.

Stuart served as a tax preparer for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, demonstrating his dedication to community service as well as his accounting and finance strength in the tax arena.

Stuart is a cum laude graduate of Loyola University of New Orleans, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics.

Tyler Troutman, Vista Shores Assisted Living
Tyler started his career in the senior living industry in 1996 after earning his Masters of Healthcare Administration Degree from Tulane University. Before returning to his native Louisiana this year, Tyler served as Executive Director of Brooking Park in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was instrumental in the management, expansion, and renovation of the CCRC's skilled nursing, assisted living and independent living facilities. His commitment to quality care and effective operational oversight resulted in innovative new programs, deficiency-free OBRA and State inspections, census enhancements, and exceptional resident and staff satisfaction. Tyler served on the Board of Directors of LeadingAge Missouri from 2005 - 2011 and was Board Chairman from 2010 – 2011. He served LeadingAge on a national level as a member of their House of Delegates for five years.

A native of Luling, Louisiana, Tyler received a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Finance and Investment Management from the University of Alabama in 1992.  He resides in Uptown New Orleans with his wife, Kerrie Caldwell-Troutman and their dog, Murphy.

Shannon Boudreaux, Executive Director, The Suites at Sugar Mill Point
Shannon Boudreaux brings her extensive expertise in social work and elder care to her role as Executive Director of The Suites at Sugar Mill Point . Prior to joining Schonberg & Associates, Shannon sharpened her senior care expertise in leadership positions with Hospice of South Louisiana, where she served as both administrator and medical social worker during her four-year tenure. Shannon's distinguished healthcare career also includes experience as medical social worker for Terrebonne General Medical Center and as social worker for Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center.

Born and raised in the New Orleans area and an eleven-year resident of Houma, Shannon earned a Master of Social Work from Southern University at New Orleans in 1998 and a Bachelor of Science in Social Counseling from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in 1996. Her leadership and skill are further evidenced by her participation in such organizations as the Louisiana Assisted Living Association, the National Association of Social Workers, both the National and the Louisiana/Mississippi Hospice and Palliative Care Organizations, the Women's Business Alliance, the Professional Referral Organization and the Senior Networking Organization. She is the current Vice President for the Louisiana Alzheimer's Association Bayou Region Volunteer Council.

Shae Stovall, Executive Director, Magnolias of Anderson
Shae is a native of Hartwell, GA and has 10 year of experience in the senior retirement community industry. Along with her experience, Shae has earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration and is a licensed Administrator of South Carolina in Long Term Health Care. Devotion and loyalty to seniors and increasing the quality of their lives is Shae's lifetime passion. Resident care and family relations are her top priority.

Kathy McPhail, Executive Director, Alden Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care
Born and raised in Hattiesburg MS, Kathy received her B. S. degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has over 20 years of experience working with the elderly in our community. As a Licensed Social Worker, (since 1988), she has held several positions directly involved with meeting the needs of our geriatric population including nursing home, home and community based service programs, and Director of Emergency Welfare Services. She is also an active member of Forrest General Hospital’s Community Advisory Board.

Kathy was hired as Director of Alden Pointe in December 2004 and was involved in the writing of policy and procedures for the community, marketing, and hiring before the foundation of the community was ever completed. She has a dedication and commitment to her community and residents that is parallel to none and takes a personal interest in all of her residents. Simply put, Kathy runs Alden Pointe as she would if her own parents lived there, putting their safety and well-being first, and providing excellent care on a daily basis no matter what level of care is needed.

Kathy is married to Ricky McPhail (26 years) and they have two children (Courtney and Zachary). The family resides in the Oak Grove community.

Annette Medeiros, Executive Director, Magnolias of Summerville
A leader in the elder care industry for 28 years, Annette found her home at Magnolias in 2005. She is a licensed assisted living administrator. Her vast knowledge and leadership abilities, as well as her personal commitment to the care and wellbeing of each resident in her community are unparalleled. She is beloved by staff, residents, and family members alike for her responsiveness and dedication.

David Walker, Executive Director, Pendleton Manor
An experienced leader and executive for over 25 years, David is the Executive Director of Pendleton Manor in Greenville, South Carolina. David has vast experience as both an Executive Director and as a Regional Director. His impressive resume boasts the successful management of over 15 properties. David’s commitment to providing the utmost quality care and service to his residents will provide a wonderful addition to the recently renovated property. David brings tremendous value and care to the families, residents, and employees of Pendleton Manor.

Donna J. Parks, Director of Business Services, Magnolias of Summerville
Donna, who has been with the Magnolias since 2002, handles every aspect of the business office, including a Resident Fund Account, which manages personal funds for the residents who elect to have this service. Donna’s outgoing, fun personality and interaction with the residents are an asset to Magnolias, as is her attention to detail in the business office. She handles the accounting and finance function for every aspect of the Magnolias, including dietary, nursing, payroll and activities.

Tisha Sue Brown, Director of Dietary Services, Schonberg & Associates
Tisha Sue joined our Alden Pointe community in Hattiesburg, MS in 2007 in the position of Administrative Assistant.  During this time, Tisha expressed an interest in managing the dietary program and was given the opportunity to write menus, make orders and improve the overall dining experience for the residents at Alden Pointe.  Tisha was so successful and the new menus were such a hit that her services were expanded to meet the needs of other Schonberg & Associates communities.  Her keen sense of commitment to making sure the residents are extremely happy with their dining experice has been phenomenal.  She will stop at nothing to find new and exciting recipes to add to our menus.  Tisha continues to broaden her education in the field of dietary services.
